VocoVision is actively recruiting experienced special education teachers for virtual positions supporting New Hampshire school districts. We maintain continuous relationships with districts seeking remote special education support, and this posting allows us to identify and pre-screen qualified candidates for immediate consideration when new opportunities arise.
Working as a remote special education teacher means bringing your expertise directly to students who need specialized instruction, all while enjoying the benefits of working from home! Positions in our network typically involve 37.5 hours per week supporting caseloads of approximately 50-60 students. Grade level assignments vary based on district needs and your background—some positions focus on elementary students, others on middle school, and some serve high school populations.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Designing and delivering standards-based special education instruction via video conferencing
- Creating individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals and general education curriculum
- Assessing student progress using formal and informal measures
- Documenting student growth and maintaining compliance with special education regulations
- Facilitating IEP development and review meetings with parents and team members
- Providing consultation to general education teachers on instructional modifications
- Managing behavior support plans and reinforcement systems in the virtual environment
Required Credentials and Experience: You'll need a valid New Hampshire special education teaching license and a Master's degree in Special Education or a closely related field. Two years of school-based special education experience is mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with technology including video platforms, shared documents, digital whiteboards, and educational software. The ability to differentiate instruction, use data to drive decision-making, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders is essential.
What Makes a Great Virtual Special Education Teacher: Success in remote teaching requires self-motivation, excellent organizational abilities, and creative problem-solving skills. You should be comfortable working independently while maintaining regular communication with your team. Flexibility and adaptability are key as you'll need to adjust your approach based on individual student needs and varying family circumstances.
