This contract role runs full-time from ASAP through June 2027, offering the chance to work weekdays with a consistent 35-37.5 hour schedule. Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher, with experience in intensive needs or life skills programs preferred.
- Previous experience working with elementary or middle school students, ideally Grades 5 and 6.
- Strong case management skills, including developing and implementing IEPs and progress monitoring.
- Collaborative approach to working alongside other educators, families, and service providers.
- Patience, creativity, and dedication to supporting a diverse range of learning needs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide specialized instruction to students in a small-group Life Skills/Intensive Needs setting.
- Serve as case manager for assigned students, developing IEPs and individualized behavioral or academic plans.
- Track student progress and maintain detailed documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes.
