Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students with special needs at both the high school and elementary level. Three positions are available, all onsite, with immediate start dates extending through the end of the academic year.
In this role, you will work with life skills caseloads: two positions are at the high school level and one at the elementary level. You’ll join a dedicated team focused on providing a supportive educational environment and tailored instruction to ensure every student can thrive.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification/licensure as required by state guidelines
- Experience teaching or supporting students with life skills needs preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with faculty, administrators, and families
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered education
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction to meet each student’s life skill development goals
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and modify classroom activities for students with varying abilities
- Monitor student progress, document educational outcomes, and adjust approaches as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture
