10th Grade 11th Grade Special Education Teacher - Converse, TX

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid teaching certification (any subject area accepted)
• Experience working with special education students in self-contained settings
• Strong communication skills—with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Flexibility and adaptability to work with different grade levels (elementary and high school)
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to small groups of students, following IEPs
• Develop lesson plans and classroom activities that address diverse learning styles and abilities
• Monitor and document student progress, collaborating with other education professionals as needed
• Communicate regularly with families to support student growth and engagement
• Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment for all students
• Participate in meetings and contribute to each student’s educational planning
