Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Educator License with Special Education Endorsement.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent teaching experience preferred.
  • Experienced in writing/implementing IEPs and collaborating with related services staff.
  • Familiarity with ClearTrack for IEP/progress monitoring and Woodcock-Johnson assessments (Riverside Insights) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction in English Language Arts for grades 7–12, with a focus on 7th and 9th grades.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 15 students, expanding to additional students in resource settings.
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate IEPs; participate in evaluations and re-evaluations.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers in a team-oriented environment.
