What We’re Looking For:
- Valid New York State Educator License with Special Education Endorsement
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in teaching special education preferred
- Strong knowledge and ability to write/implement IEPs; experience with evaluations and re-evaluations
- Familiarity with ClearTrack (IEP/progress monitoring) and Woodcock-Johnson (Riverside Insights) assessments a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-teach English Language Arts for grades 7 and 9 (resource and co-teaching model for grades 7-12)
- Manage a caseload of approximately 15 students, with additional support in a resource room setting
- Develop, update, and monitor IEPs; participate in evaluations as needed
- Communicate closely with families and multidisciplinary teams
