This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education teaching position serving Elementary and Middle School grade levels within self-contained classrooms. The role is based in Copperas Cove, TX, and is scheduled for the 2025-2026 school year with a quick start date on May 29, 2025. The position involves a standard 40-hour work week and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction in self-contained classrooms tailored to special education students in elementary and middle school grades
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to individual learning styles and abilities
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
  • Uphold a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth

Qualifications:

  • Must possess one of the following certification combinations: • EC–12 Special Education AND EC–6 Core • EC–12 Special Education AND 4–8 Generalist
  • Active Texas teaching certifications as listed above are required to be considered for an interview
  • Experience working with diverse student populations in special education settings is preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
