What you’ll bring:

• Active Texas Teaching Certification
• Special Education, EC-12 certification required
• Additionally, hold at least one of the following: EC-6 Core Subjects, 4-8 Generalist, or 9-12 subject-specific certification
• Previous teaching experience in a special education environment preferred
• Flexibility and passion for adapting instruction to meet students’ individual needs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within school teams

What you’ll do:

• Deliver individualized instruction and instruction modifications as outlined in students’ IEPs
• Develop and implement lesson plans that accommodate a wide range of learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Evaluate students’ progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
• Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them involved in students’ development
• Maintain detailed records, assessments, and documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
