Desired Background and Skills:
- Current Texas teaching certification required
- Must hold a Special Education, EC-12 certification
- A minimum score of 18 in section D of the Texas Content Competency Worksheet for Special Education Teachers
- Experience with diverse student populations is strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction to students in special education programs
- Develop and implement effective IEPs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes growth and achievement
- Utilize data and ongoing assessment to monitor and report progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Partner effectively with families and staff to support student success
This position offers a competitive hourly compensation estimated between $39-42 per hour, determined by your degree level, certifications, and experience.
