This position offers the opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting, focused on supporting students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities. Located in Copperopolis, CA, this contract role is designed for the current school year and involves direct interaction with a small group of students in a nurturing and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with primary and emotional disabilities.
• Manage classroom dynamics within the Nexus Program, catering to 2nd through 4th grade students.
• Collaborate closely with three paraprofessionals to ensure individualized support for each student.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
• Create a positive and structured learning environment that promotes academic and social growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification in Special Education.
• Experience teaching students with mild/moderate or moderate/severe disabilities.
• Ability to work with children presenting primary and emotional disabilities.
• Familiarity with the Nexus Program or similar specialized educational frameworks.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Proven track record of collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
