Special Education Teacher - Coraopolis, Pennsylvania

Make a difference in students’ lives by providing specialized instruction and support as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role, working full time Monday through Friday from 7:45am to 3:15pm. This assignment involves working with a small caseload of 2-5 students across K-12 grade levels, located near Coraopolis, PA. You’ll have the opportunity to implement individualized education programs and foster an inclusive learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (active and in good standing)
• Previous experience supporting students in Special Education settings strongly preferred
• Confidence working with students across a wide age and grade range (K-12)
• Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
• Modify curriculum and adapt teaching approaches as needed for student success
• Maintain regular communication with families, staff, and administration
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Document student progress and contribute to annual review meetings
• Manage and support a small caseload, ensuring students receive personalized attention
