Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid South Carolina certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Previous experience working with K-12 student populations
• Understanding of self-contained and/or resource classroom environments
• Proficiency in developing, implementing, and managing IEPs
• Ability to perform all standard responsibilities of a Special Education Teacher
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
• Strong organizational skills, a collaborative spirit, and a solution-oriented approach
• Demonstrated work ethic, adaptability, and a growth mindset

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support to students in accordance with IEPs
• Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Maintain organized records and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Cultivate an encouraging, structured classroom environment
• Adapt teaching strategies and materials based on students’ strengths and challenges
