This position is based in a vibrant school district near Corona, CA, and focuses exclusively on consultation services for students with orthopedic impairments. You will work closely with district teams to ensure compliance and best practices for students requiring OI accommodations, bringing your expertise to help guide the educational environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential with Orthopedic Impairment (OI) certification required
  • Previous experience as a special education teacher, case manager, or related consultation role strongly preferred
  • In-depth familiarity with IEP processes and requirements related to orthopedic impairments
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively consult with school teams and families
  • Ability to organize and facilitate equipment orders and assessment procedures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend IEP meetings as a subject matter expert for OI requirements
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide recommendations to meet compliance standards
  • Order and coordinate specialized equipment for students as outlined in IEPs
  • Consult with teams to assist in ensuring educational success for students with orthopedic impairments
  • Remain onsite as the district does not support virtual consultations
