Special Education Teacher in Cosmopolis, WA

Make an impact supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis. This full-time opportunity focuses on empowering young learners in grades 2 through 5, working with a manageable caseload of approximately 30-35 students. Located near the Cosmopolis, WA area, this position offers the chance to work collaboratively with a dedicated team and help students reach their fullest potential. Compensation for this role ranges from $50 to $60 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field (required)
• Valid state certification to teach Special Education
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged children is highly preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to individual learning needs
• Comfortable with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction to students in grades 2-5, fostering inclusive educational environments
• Develop and carry out individualized lesson plans according to each student’s IEP
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
• Work closely with families, fellow educators, and support staff to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal Special Education regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team collaboration sessions
