Special Education Teacher - Cottage Grove, Minnesota

Beginning August 31, 2026 and extending through June 4, 2027, this full-time contract position offers the chance to work closely with a small group of 6-10 students in a Setting 3 classroom focused on learners with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

As you focus on making meaningful progress with your students, you’ll enjoy the consistency of working onsite at a single building and collaborating with dedicated professionals who share your passion for special education. You will play an essential role in nurturing students’ growth and helping each individual reach their potential.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, valid teaching license with ASD or DCD endorsement (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Previous experience in special education, specifically working with DCD and/or ASD populations
• Commitment through the entire school year (August 2026-June 2027)
• Comfortable managing a classroom of 6-10 students within a Setting 3 environment
• Ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with other educators and families
