Step into the impactful role of Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher for a high school setting, focusing primarily on students with Learning Disabilities. This contract opportunity runs from the start of the 2026/2027 school year until Thanksgiving. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, ensuring you’re immersed in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License required
• Learning Disabilities (LD) licensure is strongly preferred
• Experience working with high school students in special education settings
• Background in reading intervention and executive functioning support
• Demonstrated ability with IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and academic accommodations

Preferred Experience:

• Previous high school SPED experience
• Proven skills supporting students with executive functioning needs
• Experience in reading interventions
• Adaptability to join and collaborate within established educational teams

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of high school students identified with learning disabilities
• Deliver targeted reading intervention and executive functioning support
• Provide specialized instruction and support academic accommodations to promote student success
• Implement individualized education programs and monitor progress toward goals
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to create a supportive learning environment
