This contract role supports a specialized setting designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), providing rewarding challenges in a supportive professional environment.

In this role, you’ll join a dedicated team working closely with a caseload of eight elementary-aged students and three paraprofessionals. Your days will run from 7:20am to 3:20pm, fostering a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom that meets the diverse needs of your students.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current Minnesota teaching license (Tier 3 or 4 required)
  • Licensure in ABS accepted, though EBD or ASD is preferred
  • Must hold an endorsement in ASD or DCD
  • Proven experience supporting students in EBD Setting 3 clusters
  • Strength in collaboration, communication, and individualized instructional planning
  • Commitment to developing differentiated learning strategies for K-5 students

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a positive, structured classroom culture focused on growth and inclusion
  • Lead and collaborate with paraprofessionals to maximize student engagement and achievement
  • Track and communicate student progress, maintaining thorough documentation
  • Build partnerships with families, staff, and support services
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal special education laws
