Special Education Teacher in Cottage Grove, MN

The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers the chance to work exclusively at one building near Cottage Grove, MN.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher license with Tier 3 or Tier 4 certification required
• Must possess an endorsement in ASD or DCD
• Demonstrated experience working with students who have Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD) in a Setting 3 cluster/classroom
• Strong understanding of IEP development, behavioral intervention strategies, and differentiated instruction
• Familiarity with best practices in supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and reliability

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and case management to students in a self-contained Setting 3 classroom
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Collaborate closely with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Create a positive classroom climate that fosters independence, engagement, and skill development
• Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly

This contract position provides a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, with an assignment that allows you to work in a single supportive building.
