Step into a rewarding part-time contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting early childhood learners. Working with dedicated paraeducators, you will help shape an inclusive, encouraging, and structured environment for young students with diverse learning needs.

This position is part-time at 0.5 FTE, offering flexible workday schedules to accommodate your needs. Choose between a consistent Monday-Friday morning schedule (8:15 AM–12:15 PM), or combine full and half days (Monday and Wednesday full days; Tuesday morning). Mondays are dedicated to paperwork and meetings, providing space for focused collaboration and planning. As a valued team member, you may also occasionally serve as a float substitute within the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education (SPED) Teaching License
  • Experience or strong interest in working within self-contained classroom settings
  • Proven ability to collaborate with paraeducators and other specialists
  • Flexible mindset—willingness to serve as a float substitute when needed
  • Strong organizational skills for managing paperwork and IEP planning

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, developmentally-appropriate instruction to early childhood students with special needs
  • Lead and collaborate with two full-time paraeducators in the classroom
  • Support tracking goals and progress for each student
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, staff development, and paperwork days
  • Create a compassionate, encouraging classroom atmosphere

This contract position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $75 to $85, reflecting your expertise in special education.
