This position is part-time at 0.5 FTE, offering flexible workday schedules to accommodate your needs. Choose between a consistent Monday-Friday morning schedule (8:15 AM–12:15 PM), or combine full and half days (Monday and Wednesday full days; Tuesday morning). Mondays are dedicated to paperwork and meetings, providing space for focused collaboration and planning. As a valued team member, you may also occasionally serve as a float substitute within the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education (SPED) Teaching License
- Experience or strong interest in working within self-contained classroom settings
- Proven ability to collaborate with paraeducators and other specialists
- Flexible mindset—willingness to serve as a float substitute when needed
- Strong organizational skills for managing paperwork and IEP planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, developmentally-appropriate instruction to early childhood students with special needs
- Lead and collaborate with two full-time paraeducators in the classroom
- Support tracking goals and progress for each student
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, staff development, and paperwork days
- Create a compassionate, encouraging classroom atmosphere
This contract position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $75 to $85, reflecting your expertise in special education.
