Special Education Teacher | Cottageville, South Carolina

Step into a dynamic educational environment as a Special Education Teacher, supporting K-6th grade students in a resource, push-in, and pull-out setting. The workday runs from 7:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a consistent and predictable schedule for planning, instruction, and collaboration.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for state licensure)
• Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students in special education
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Familiarity with both resource room and classroom support models
• Strong collaboration skills, particularly with paraprofessionals and general education teachers
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to K-6th grade students across a variety of learning needs
• Utilize resource, push-in, and pull-out models to address goals outlined in students’ IEPs
• Work collaboratively with para support and other education professionals to ensure a positive, successful learning environment
• Track student progress and adjust instructional approaches to best meet individual needs
• Engage in regular communication with caregivers and staff to enhance student growth and development
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with special education regulations
