Make an impact supporting early learners as a contract Special Education Teacher in a K-2 setting. This full-time opportunity is tailored for an educator passionate about guiding young students who benefit from resource services. You’ll primarily serve as a pull-out instructor, providing individualized and small-group support outside the general classroom. With a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours and a manageable caseload of 20-26 students, you have the chance to create meaningful progress for children at a critical stage of development.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Proven experience working with K-2nd grade students preferred
  • Familiarity with resource/push in-pull out service delivery models
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to build relationships that encourage student confidence and growth

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Pull students out of the classroom for targeted special education instruction in reading, math, and other core areas
  • Develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and adjust strategies to ensure student success
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and paraprofessional staff to support integration and transition for students
  • Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance, and contribute to ARD/IEP meetings as needed
  • Provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth
