Special Ed Teacher | Cottonwood, Arizona

Make a difference in the lives of exceptional learners! Two contract positions are currently available for dedicated Special Education Teachers, offering both full-time (35-40 hours/week) and part-time on-site flexibility. This rewarding role begins January 5 and runs through the end of the school year, providing an opportunity to work closely with students and collaborate with supportive colleagues.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students in grades 4th-8th (resource, 27 students, SLD & OHI eligibility) or in a 4th-6th self-contained setting (7 students, SLD, OHI, Autism eligibility)
• Develop, review, and maintain IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs and strengths
• Monitor and document student progress, completing progress notes and reporting as required
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment while effectively managing behavior
• Collaborate with a lead teacher onsite and additional support via virtual meetings
• Participate in school meetings and professional development as needed

What We’re Seeking:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school-aged students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong background in IEP development, instructional differentiation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication, organization, and team collaboration skills
• Flexibility to work full-time or part-time, providing on-site services
