Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Kansas Special Education teaching license (required)
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in school-based settings strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and educational teams
• Flexibility to work effectively across middle and high school environments
• Commitment to providing individualized educational plans and differentiated instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to support student success
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and services provided
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding educational goals and student progress
