Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Special Education teaching license (required)
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and educational teams
- Flexibility to work effectively across middle and high school environments
- Commitment to providing individualized educational plans and differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to support student success
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and services provided
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding educational goals and student progress
