A Texas school district is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students in the PASS Program, with a focus on behavior intervention and inclusion services at the elementary level. This role works closely with general education classrooms while also supporting a small self-contained component.

Program & Caseload Information:

Approximately 15–20 students receiving behavior support services within general education settings

One young student served in a self-contained setting

One paraprofessional assigned for support

Some students are pulled out for targeted Social Skills instruction using the Why Try curriculum
-
Majority of services provided through general education inclusion
Key Responsibilities:

Implement behavior supports and intervention strategies aligned with IEP goals

Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices

Provide direct instruction in social skills and behavior regulation

Monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed

Work closely with paraprofessionals, families, and campus staff
Requirements:

Valid Texas Special Education teaching certification required

Experience with behavior-focused programs and inclusion settings preferred

Familiarity with social skills curricula (Why Try experience a plus)
