An elementary campus in Texas is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students enrolled in a PASS behavior program. This role primarily serves students in general education classrooms through inclusion and behavior support, with a small self-contained component.

Position Details:

  • Assignment Dates: ASAP through May 22, 2026

  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

  • Setting: Elementary school

Student Population & Services:

  • 15–20 elementary students receiving behavior services in general education classrooms

  • One younger student served in a self-contained setting

  • One paraprofessional assigned to assist with daily support

  • Pull-out services provided for Social Skills instruction

  • Social Skills curriculum used: Why Try

  • Majority of support delivered through inclusion-based services

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavior-focused special education services aligned with IEPs

  • Support students within general education environments

  • Deliver social skills instruction in small groups or individual settings

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff

  • Track progress and adjust interventions as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas Special Education certification required

  • Experience working with behavior programs and inclusion models preferred

  • Strong collaboration and classroom management skills
