Exciting opportunities are now available for experienced Special Education Teachers ready to make a difference in students’ lives near Crandall, TX. With three openings actively interviewing and offering positions, this contract role runs from as soon as possible through May 21, 2027, providing a consistent schedule of 40 hours per week. These roles focus on supporting students in middle school Life Skills, middle school Resource Math, and high school Resource English Language Arts/Reading (ELAR), making this an ideal position for educators dedicated to inclusive education.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching certification
  • Additional certifications as follows:
    • MS Life Skills: SPED cert and core certification required
    • MS Resource Math: SPED cert and math certification required
    • HS Resource ELAR: SPED cert and ELAR certification required
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for students with special needs
  • Use evidence-based instructional strategies to meet a range of learning styles
  • Develop lesson plans aligned with student IEPs and curriculum standards
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families
  • Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education requirements
