Certification Required: Texas Special Education EC–12

About the Position

The Positive Approach to Student Success (PASS) program provides structured support for students experiencing significant emotional and behavioral challenges.

This role primarily involves general education inclusion services, with an emphasis on helping students develop positive behaviors, emotional regulation, and academic independence.

The program utilizes the WhyTry curriculum to promote resilience, motivation, problem-solving, and social-emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individualized special education instruction and behavioral support.

Support students in general education classrooms through inclusion services.

Implement positive behavior interventions and classroom management strategies.

Utilize the WhyTry curriculum to develop social-emotional and behavioral skills.

Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff.

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Foster a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

Active Texas Special Education EC–12 certification required.

Experience supporting students with behavioral and emotional needs preferred.

Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

Passion for helping elementary students achieve success.
