Empower young learners by providing crucial support and instruction as a Special Education Teacher in an onsite, full-time contract role for the 2024-2025 school year. Three positions are available to work with elementary-aged students in classrooms of 8-12. This school serves children with Autism and other developmental disabilities, offering a rewarding environment where each day brings an opportunity to make a genuine difference.

Skills and Experience Desired:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience teaching elementary-age students, ideally in special education settings
  • Knowledge of best practices for supporting students with Autism and developmental disabilities
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Adaptability and creativity in the classroom

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support for students in a classroom setting (grades K-5)
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Differentiate curriculum and teaching strategies according to students’ unique learning needs
  • Collaborate regularly with support staff, therapists, and families to maximize student success
  • Track progress, update documentation, and participate in meetings for IEP development and review
  • Foster positive social and emotional growth for all students

This role is based entirely onsite to provide the dedicated, hands-on attention students deserve. With class sizes ranging from 8 to 12, you’ll have manageable groups and the chance to focus on meaningful learning experiences.
