Special Education Teacher - Cranston, Rhode Island

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license (mild to moderate or severe)
• Prior experience in an elementary classroom or with students with developmental needs is highly valued
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with students, support staff, and families
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and individualized education plans

Role Responsibilities:

• Create and implement differentiated lesson plans for students at varying ability levels
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress toward goals
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence
• Collaborate with related service providers and classroom assistants as part of a dedicated school team
• Maintain organized records and regular communication with families regarding student progress
