Special Education Teacher - Cranston, RI

Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a Special Education professional for an elementary resource classroom supporting grades K-2. In this role, you'll work in a classroom designed for PreK to 2nd grade students, collaborating closely with both general and special education teams to ensure individualized support. You’ll have the ability to adapt your approach to meet diverse needs by pulling high-needs students back into your classroom for additional support as required.

What we’re seeking in a candidate:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Experience working with K-2nd grade students in a school setting
• Familiarity with social/emotional support strategies and IEP implementation
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability in a dynamic environment

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering specialized instruction to students in both resource and pull-out/self-contained settings
• Supporting social/emotional and academic growth according to each child’s IEP
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
• Maintaining accurate documentation of student progress and ongoing communication
• Creating a supportive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
