Special Education Teacher - Cranston, RI

With up to 37.5 hours per week and a small class size supported by four dedicated paraprofessionals, you’ll provide specialized instruction in an environment designed to foster learning and development.

Qualifications:

• Valid SPED Moderate or Severe teaching license/certification
• Experience working with students with developmental delays highly desired
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Dedication to individualized instruction and student-centered teaching
• Organizational skills to manage classroom routines and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies for students with developmental delays
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to provide comprehensive student support
• Communicate progress and challenges with parents, guardians, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with relevant policies and regulations
