Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher within an Intensive Services Program, designed for those passionate about supporting students with complex needs. In this highly structured, self-contained classroom, you will be the instructional and behavioral leader, guiding a caseload of one to two students who require continuous supervision and intensive individualized support.
Your role will encompass providing direct instruction, developing specialized educational programming, and implementing behavioral strategies. Collaboration is at the heart of this position—work closely with families, support staff, and multidisciplinary team members to foster student growth and ensure positive outcomes. With a minimum of two trained professionals in the room at all times, you’ll have the support you need to make a real impact.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher credentials/licenses
- Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities, behavioral, social-emotional, communication, adaptive, and/or mental health needs
- Expertise in developing and delivering individualized instruction and behavior management
- Strong collaborative skills for partnering with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
