Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (SPED) for the state
- Experience co-teaching at the elementary and/or middle school level preferred
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
- Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities
- Passion for fostering inclusive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively in co-taught classrooms at both the primary and middle school levels (grades 3-4 and 7-8), with student caseloads of fewer than 10 per group
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction to ensure IEP goals are met
- Assess student progress, document outcomes, and communicate results to colleagues and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaborations, and professional development as required
- Cultivate a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom culture
