Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (SPED) for the state
  • Experience co-teaching at the elementary and/or middle school level preferred
  • Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities
  • Passion for fostering inclusive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively in co-taught classrooms at both the primary and middle school levels (grades 3-4 and 7-8), with student caseloads of fewer than 10 per group
  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction to ensure IEP goals are met
  • Assess student progress, document outcomes, and communicate results to colleagues and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaborations, and professional development as required
  • Cultivate a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom culture
