Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Adapted Curriculum K-12 license required.
• Experience working with non-verbal students or those requiring alternative communication methods is highly valuable.
• Skilled in implementing individualized instructional strategies and behavior interventions.
• Comfortable working one-on-one in a home setting.
• Compassion, patience, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of self-injurious behaviors and supportive interventions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and compensatory services tailored to the student's unique needs.
• Collaborate with guardians and, as appropriate, interdisciplinary professionals to ensure progress and safety.
• Utilize adaptive communication techniques and implement behavior support plans to address self-injury.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service hours and student progress.
• Adapt instructional materials to foster engagement and growth.
• Flexibly accommodate the student’s learning pace and individual strengths.
