Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL).
  • Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement (LBS1) required.
  • Prefer candidates with previous teaching experience.
  • Thorough understanding of current educational and instructional methodologies.
  • Grasp of child development theories and their classroom applications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an elementary-level caseload, delivering specialized instruction to meet diverse student needs.
  • Create, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) in compliance with IDEA and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrative staff to facilitate student success and effective program implementation.
  • Adapt instructional materials and approaches to match student learning styles.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular communication to stakeholders.
