Special Education Teacher - Culleoka, Tennessee

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification with either a 144 or 145 endorsement
• Experience or strong interest in working with middle school students
• Deep understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and individualized instruction
• Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and families
• Ability to adapt instruction and strategies for diverse learners
• Organizational skills for maintaining accurate student documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction and interventions to meet each student’s learning goals
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service providers
• Assess students’ academic and behavioral needs, regularly tracking progress toward objectives
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom climate that supports growth and achievement
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and strategies for support
