Two contract-to-hire positions are available: a full-time Mild/Moderate Resource Teacher role at two elementary schools (40 hours per week) beginning October 5 and lasting through the end of the school year, and a part-time Mild/Moderate Resource Teacher assignment for one day each week (8 hours) at a single elementary school, starting immediately and also continuing through the end of the school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- California credential in Special Education (Mild/Moderate Disabilities)
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong skills in differentiating instruction and supporting diverse learners
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with mild/moderate disabilities within the resource setting
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to coordinate services
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
