Special Education Teacher in Cusseta, GA

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to work with middle school students in grades 6-8. This contract role is based in a self-contained classroom, serving a caseload of 10 students. The position focuses on delivering adapted curriculum support, but does not serve students with severe disabilities, offering a balanced and nurturing educational environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia teaching certificate with Special Education Adapted Curriculum endorsement
• Experience supporting middle school or elementary-level students with exceptionalities
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodation strategies
• Ability to collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and families
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for fostering student growth, independence, and inclusion
