Make a positive impact on young learners by supporting a Pre-K classroom as a Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity, running from August 24, 2026, through November 13, 2026, offers a dynamic experience working with early childhood students. You'll be based in a single building, focusing on a caseload of 10-15 Pre-K students, and contribute to a collaborative, caring environment dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of young children.

Key Qualifications:

  • Dual certification in both Early Childhood Education and Special Education (required)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged students
  • Ability to craft and adapt individualized lesson plans designed to foster educational and social development
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced, ever-changing classroom setting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor IEPs for assigned students, providing differentiated instruction and support
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom where every learner feels valued
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure student progress and safety
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to address the unique learning needs of each child
  • Maintain records, complete progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
