Special Education Teacher - Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with a range of special needs in a dedicated school environment near Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Two positions are available for passionate Special Education Teachers eager to make a real difference in middle or primary school settings during the 2026-2027 academic year. With a start date of August 24, 2026, and a commitment through June 7, 2027, you'll work full-time (37.5 hours per week) within one building. Your patience is appreciated as the school is currently on break, which may cause some delays in communication or interviews.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license or appropriate credentials (required for all candidates)
• Experience working with students with multiple disabilities (MD), including autism, non-verbal communication, physical impairments, and more
• Background supporting students with emotional disabilities (ED), behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and social-emotional needs
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and individualized instruction plans
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to either a MD classroom (9-12 students) or ED classroom (10-15 students) depending on placement
• Implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and BIPs
• Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and families to enhance student growth
• Foster a positive, safe learning environment tailored to diverse needs
• Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor progress and adapt instruction
• Participate in IEP meetings and staff development opportunities
