Make an impact where it’s needed most by supporting students with diverse needs in a dedicated, collaborative environment. Seeking passionate Special Education professionals to work in a contract position during the 2026-2027 academic year, starting August 24th and concluding June 7th. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) serves one school building and offers the opportunity to enrich students’ lives in either a classroom for multiple disabilities (MD) or in an emotional disabilities (ED) classroom.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as a Special Education Teacher
  • Experience with MD classrooms: skilled in working with students who are non-verbal, have autism, or physical impairments
  • For ED role, background in social-emotional instruction, managing BIPs, and crisis intervention preferred
  • Comfortable with caseloads of 9-12 students (MD) or 10-15 students (ED)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong commitment to individualized instruction and positive behavioral supports

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IEP-driven lessons tailored to student goals
  • Foster inclusive, supportive classroom environments with appropriate accommodations
  • Utilize communication devices, adaptive tools, and differentiated strategies as needed
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
  • Collaborate with therapists, aides, and families to optimize student success
  • Implement BIPs, support de-escalation strategies, and provide social-emotional learning experiences
  • Participate in professional development and staff meetings
