Special Education Teacher - Dadeville, AL

Two full-time contract positions are open, each offering the chance to work in welcoming, supportive school environments near Dadeville, AL. Positions are available in both a resource classroom for grades 2 and 3 and a self-contained classroom for grades K-2. These roles begin as soon as possible and extend through late May.

Desired Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Demonstrated experience in either resource (grades 2-3) or self-contained (K-2) special education settings.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and professional teams.
• Adaptability to tailor instruction and classroom management to diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs.
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and productive classroom climate.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student success.
• Maintain accurate records on student progress and behavior.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding students’ achievements and needs.
• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development through differentiated strategies.
