Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Alabama Special Education Teacher certification (AL SPED)
• Experience teaching in a special education setting at the elementary, middle, or high school level
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and ability to adapt curriculum to meet diverse learner needs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Passion for empowering students and collaborating with staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized instruction in accordance with IEPs
• Work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student achievement
• Manage classroom behavior, cultivate a positive learning environment, and employ evidence-based strategies
• Collect and analyze student progress data, adjusting interventions as needed
• Complete required documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster an inclusive classroom culture focused on student growth, dignity, and success
