Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid SPED certification; preference for EC-12
  • Previous experience in special education or similar settings
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavior management techniques
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work with varying caseload sizes
  • Excellent communication skills for building relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction and support to students with diverse educational needs across early elementary, middle, and high school classrooms
  • Manage a caseload of PK-12 students, providing tailored lesson plans that promote academic and personal growth
  • Assess student progress, track data, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to support inclusion and student success
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal special education regulations
  • Engage and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs
