Special Education Teacher in Dallas, TX

Position Overview:

• Three contract openings to start as soon as possible, with placement through 5/21/2027
• Roles include Middle School Life Skills (requiring both Special Education and core subject certifications) and Middle School Resource Math (requiring Special Education plus math or generalist certification)
• Work on-site helping students achieve their academic and personal goals in a supportive setting

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Texas certification in Special Education and required core/subject area (see above)
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to adapt instruction to individual student goals and IEPs
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and support staff
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction and support according to IEPs and district curriculum standards
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress, collaborating with the educational team
• Create a safe and welcoming classroom culture that encourages growth and confidence
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development as needed
