Special Education Teacher in Dallas, TX

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing specialized support in a welcoming elementary school environment. This is a contract opportunity for experienced Special Education Teachers to work full-time, supporting resource and inclusion classrooms for elementary-level learners. The position is available to start as soon as possible and runs through May 21, 2027. You will be working 40 hours per week at a campus near Dallas, TX.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid TX Special Education (SPED EC-12) teaching certification required
• Core/generalist certification preferred
• Experience with elementary resource and inclusion settings
• Strong commitment to individualized education and collaborative teaching
• Adaptable, positive, and patient approach to supporting diverse learners
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver differentiated instruction in resource and inclusion classroom settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications support student success
• Monitor individualized education plan (IEP) progress and maintain accurate records
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning atmosphere
• Communicate clearly with families, staff, and other specialists regarding student progress
• Contribute to IEP meetings and help develop effective strategies to support each student’s educational goals
