Special Education Teacher | Dallas, Texas

An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work full-time in an elementary school setting near Dallas, TX. This contract position focuses on resource inclusion and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, working onsite. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team, providing tailored instruction and support to help students thrive academically and personally.

Qualifications:

• Active Special Education teaching certification/license in Texas (SPED)
• Content area certification required
• Strong understanding of resource inclusion at the elementary level
• Previous classroom experience in special education preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with staff, students, and parents
• All licenses and certifications must be current, with no holds

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with varying needs in an elementary resource/inclusion setting
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximize student success
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, meetings, and compliance requirements
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
