Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (TX credentials preferred)
  • Experience working in Functional Life Skills or self-contained classrooms
  • Passion for serving PK3–8th grade students with varying abilities
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individualized instruction for students on your caseload
  • Implement IEP goals and track student progress
  • Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom culture
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive school community
