Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid South Carolina credentials as a Special Education Teacher
  • Experience working with K-12 caseloads
  • Proficiency with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Background in self-contained or resource classroom settings preferred
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to student-centered support
  • Positive attitude with a demonstrated growth mindset
  • Ability to fulfill all general duties of a Special Education Teacher, including collaboration with colleagues, families, and service providers

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student
  • Provide instruction in self-contained and/or resource classroom settings
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with other educators, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for every student
  • Monitor, document, and communicate student progress and adjust strategies as needed
  • Support students in achieving their academic, behavioral, and social goals
  • Maintain all necessary records and compliance standards as required
