Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher credentials required
- Previous experience managing IEPs and working within self-contained or resource classrooms
- Comfortable with K-12 caseloads, adaptable across age groups and learning needs
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, growth mindset, and a positive, encouraging attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support for students with individualized needs
- Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs, working closely with students, parents, and support staff
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and celebrates student growth
- Employ a range of instructional strategies and interventions to support achievement
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal regulations
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance expertise in the field
