Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher credentials required
  • Previous experience managing IEPs and working within self-contained or resource classrooms
  • Comfortable with K-12 caseloads, adaptable across age groups and learning needs
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, growth mindset, and a positive, encouraging attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and support for students with individualized needs
  • Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs, working closely with students, parents, and support staff
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and celebrates student growth
  • Employ a range of instructional strategies and interventions to support achievement
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal regulations
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance expertise in the field
