Special Education Teacher - Danbury, North Carolina

Two roles are available: one serving a General Curriculum classroom and the other an Adaptive Curriculum classroom. You’ll inspire and guide middle-grade learners, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility)
• Experience in middle school settings preferred
• Background supporting either general or adaptive curriculum students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs
• Create engaging classroom activities that promote academic and social-emotional growth
• Collect and report on student progress using established protocols
• Partner with parents, counselors, related service providers, and administration
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal special education regulations
