Special Education Teacher in Dandridge, TN

What We’re Seeking:

• Current and valid 461 Special Education License
• Gifted Endorsement preferred
• Demonstrated experience teaching students with diverse needs
• Ability to create, adapt, and deliver individualized education programs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to adjust strategies for a self-contained classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and challenges
• Lead instructional activities for both K-2nd and 3rd-8th grade caseloads
• Employ a variety of teaching methods to support different learning styles in self-contained settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other school professionals to ensure student success
• Monitor student progress, adjust interventions, and maintain required documentation
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom atmosphere
