Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Proven experience (or strong background) working with middle school students, preferably in a resource or special education setting
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to foster supportive and positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to continuous professional development and advocacy for student needs

What You’ll Do:

• Develop, adapt, and deliver individualized instruction to meet diverse learning needs in a resource classroom setting
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to design and implement student-centered strategies
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with special education requirements
• Foster an environment that encourages participation, creativity, and independence
• Engage in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families on student progress
• Utilize evidence-based practices and interventions to help students achieve their academic and social goals
